KHF Elevates Coaching Standards

The Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) has taken a significant step toward professionalizing the sport in the region by concluding a rigorous three-day coaching grading course. Held at Strathmore University from February 11th to 13th, 2026, the program was designed to standardize and enhance the technical expertise of coaches across the country's top-tier leagues.

The course targeted tactical leaders from both the Premier League and the National League, ensuring that the top levels of Kenyan handball are guided by modern, certified coaching methodologies.

The training was spearheaded by two highly respected figures in the handball community: Peter Mwathi and Brian Mathews. Under their guidance, participants delved into advanced grading modules aimed at refining game strategy, player development, and match analysis.
